Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support development of AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency of EC qualification planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Apply LLM APIs and automation techniques to assist in:
    • EC plan / qualification matrix generation
    • Engineering data consolidation and validation
    • Drive status monitoring and result updates
  • Integrate AI capabilities into existing engineering workflows (e.g., Excel, scripts, dashboards) to reduce manual work.
  • Develop scripts or tools to automate repetitive tasks such as:
    • Status tracking
    • Data aggregation
    • Routine checks and updates
  • Apply AI tools to analyze engineering data and support decision making, including:
    • Identifying trends, anomalies, and risk signals
    • Highlighting key insights from qualification data
    • Supporting engineering teams with data-driven recommendations
  • Work with engineering teams (Head/Media, HDD, component teams) to understand workflow and translate into automation solutions.
  • Enhance engineering decision-making by combining structured data with AI-generated insights to improve visibility of qualification progress and risk.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Basic programming skills in Python or equivalent scripting language.
  • Familiarity with data handling and processing (Excel, CSV, structured data).
  • Basic understanding of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar).
  • Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with real engineering data and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in automation development (Python, VBA, or scripting tools).
  • Familiarity with API integration, especially AI / LLM APIs.
  • Experience working with Excel-based workflows and data automation.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of engineering, manufacturing, or qualification processes.
  • Experience or interest in using AI tools for data analysis, insight generation, or decision support.
  • Demonstrated interest in improving workflow efficiency and reducing manual tasks.
