  • Support departmental objectives and daily test operations
  • Coordinate Glide and TDS processes, including spec enhancement, process improvement, and special rescreen specifications
  • Support continuous cost improvement initiatives related to test heads
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives especially analysis on customer returns.
  • Drive continuous test process and quality system improvement (e.g. SMART Test, CAS)
  • Coordinate Test Cell Controller processes, including recipe setup to meet product requirements and support engineering runs
  • Improve product quality through early detection, prevention, and post‑test failure analysis
  • Support continuous improvement of test quality triggering systems and media yield without impacting HDD performance
  • Ensure all test process indicators, triggering limits, monitoring, and reaction plans are adequate and effective
  • Verify, control, monitor, and propagate new processes and new equipment into PN Test
  • Coordinate deployment and updates of test machine, robot, and tester software
  • Assist engineers with daily operational support and special projects
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, documentation, safety rules, and cleanroom protocols

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related field).
  • 4-5 years’ working experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in process development and sustaining.
  • Familiarity with basic software troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (process flow, circuit diagram)
  • Understanding of failure mechanisms and ability to isolate, detect, and correct process issues.
  • Proficiency in using MS Windows Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for reporting and documentation.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment (Lockout/Tagout, PPE usage).

Additional Information

  • Experience with process trouble shooting.
  • Exposure to statistical tools.

SKILLS:

  • Hands-on experience with test machine, robot, and tester software
  • Ability to coordinate and verify software propagation and version control
  • Experience with Test Cell Controller systems, including recipe setup and validation
  • Basic troubleshooting of software alarms, system errors, and configuration issues
  • Ability to work with process data, logs, and reports
  • Communication – Ability to explain technical findings clearly to colleagues, engineers, and supervisors.
  • Safety Awareness – Knowledge and practice of safe work procedures in industrial settings.
  • Teamwork – Effective collaborator across production, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Adaptability – Capable of handling emergencies, unexpected breakdowns, and evolving technologies.
  • Continuous Learning – Willingness to learn new machines, processes, and emerging automation technologies.
