How you will make an impact?

You drive developer productivity and delivery excellence across METRO.digital. By managing and improving our core toolchain for software development, testing and quality, you help teams deliver high-quality solutions faster and more securely. You ensure smooth onboarding, best-practice usage, and continuous optimization based on data and user feedback. Through close collaboration with engineering communities, Security and Procurement you ensure compliance, seamless integration, and cost-efficient service operations.

Please note that this role is open also for candidates in Brasov and Cluj

Job Description

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Own the full lifecycle of developer productivity and quality tools (e.g., GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory/Nexus, SonarQube, LambdaTest, Pact) 
  • Being involved in vendor management, licensing, renewals, and cost optimization
  • Monitor adoption and performance through KPIs and feedback to drive continuous improvement in developer experience
  • Coordinate integration into enterprise workflows, identity systems, and security controls.
  • Facilitate structured feedback loops, evaluate new capabilities, and contribute to roadmap decisions.
  •  Ensure compliance with governance, audit, licensing, data protection, and security policies .
  •  Support incident and problem management for the managed tools in collaboration with engineering teams.

Qualifications

Required key competencies and qualifications: 

  • Proven experience with software engineering or DevOps environments; programming fundamentals required.
  •  Familiarity with SCM, artifact, testing and quality management tools (GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory/Nexus, SonarQube, LambdaTest)
  • Understanding of security, compliance, auditability.
  •  Ability to analyze tool usage and satisfaction data (e.g., dashboards, KPIs, CSAT/OKRs) .
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills .
  • Service-oriented, proactive mindset with focus on continuous improvement.
  • Independent and reliable way of working in distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Preferably located in Romania to ensure close collaboration with users and squad members
