At Smartland, we value initiative, craftsmanship, and teamwork and we’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor who leads by example and ensures our properties stay safe, efficient, and well-maintained.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and schedule a team of 2–3 Maintenance Technicians
- Oversee repairs, preventive maintenance, and unit turnovers
- Manage work involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors
- Use mobile software to track work orders and progress
- Rotate on-call duties and handle emergency maintenance as needed
Must-Haves
- 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience (residential or multifamily preferred)
- Leadership or supervisory experience a plus
- Solid knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and basic tools
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in elevated or confined spaces
Nice to Have
- Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
- Experience training or mentoring technicians
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Familiarity with property management or maintenance software
