Position Summary
McMurry University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to support instructional needs across academic programs. This posting is used to build a pool of qualified candidates for part-time, temporary teaching assignments as they become available. Appointments are made on a course-by-course basis and are dependent upon departmental needs, enrollment, and funding.
Adjunct faculty members play a vital role in delivering high-quality instruction and supporting student success. Selected candidates may teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in their area of expertise, either in-person, online, or hybrid formats.

Key Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses in alignment with approved curriculum and learning outcomes
- Prepare course materials, syllabi, and instructional content
- Engage students through effective teaching strategies and timely communication
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course activities
- Adhere to university policies and academic standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a related field (minimum 18 graduate hours in the discipline)
- Relevant professional or teaching experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior college-level teaching experience
- Experience with online or hybrid instruction
- Terminal degree in the discipline (where applicable)
