Job Description

  • Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.  Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests & work orders while adhering to your assigned route.
  • Classify, segregate and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment.  Conducts lab pack operations.  Pack small laboratory containers of chemical waste into larger containers for shipment.    
  • Performs various regulatory Training, compliance and safety tasks including, but not limited to: Pre-trip inspections of vehicle, report all losses, spills, accidents, Leaking Containers, waste diversion and safety violations to supervisor immediately.
  • Professional contact with all levels of Customers daily in delivering, promoting, and collecting waste containers. Regular contact with many different levels of personnel.
  • Overnights Required.
  • Provide services related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal from customer sites.
  • Process and prepare Universal Hazardous Waste manifests, bills of lading and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDRs) for hazardous waste shipment according to state, EPA and DOT regulations.
  • Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials.  Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions and performing general housekeeping.
  • Adhere to assigned route via electronic routing system with any deviations escalated to Management.
  • Operates a Hand Truck, Drum Dolly, Pallet Jack & Forklift.     
  • Maintain the basic functionality & cleanliness of assigned company vehicle & equipment.
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

Pay Range: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour

Qualifications

Basic Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid CDL Class B license
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsement required for transporting waste
  • By law, you must be at least 21 years of age. 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Three or more years of related Industry experience
  • Ability to operate a CMV and possession of a valid driver’s license free of moving violations and accidents
  • Knowledge of facility permitting, DOT packaging requirements and OSHA Regulations
  • Driver E-Log Experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of waste routing and disposal of Hazardous Materials
  • 40hr Hazwoper Certificate
