Job Description
- Assisting in the monthly closing process including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of intercompany accounts for corporate and holding companies and other corresponding reconciliations
- Performing account analysis and assisting with SEC reporting as well as internal reporting
- Assisting in the preparation of governmental quarterly and annual reports
- Participating in special projects as assigned
- Responsible for the accounts payable function related to the corporate office
- Preparation of the financial statements for the Company’s Holding Companies
- Assist in Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of progressive corporate accounting experience
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a deadline driven department
- Working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting concepts with the ability to learn internal policies and procedures and apply them to routine situations
- Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, and Power Point software programs.
- BS in Accounting
