Job Description

ARHS Group – part of Accenture – is looking for a Senior .Net and JavaScript developer for one of its clients in Brussels, a key player in the Belgian Banking domain.

Context

We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional analyst to participate in the migration of the client’s on-premises Data warehouses (SAP Data Services / SQL Server) to the new Data platform (cloud-based; Databricks/python). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and hands-on experience with data migration projects of a similar nature.

Role & responsibilities

• Leading the end-to-end migration process of one or more Data warehouses (databases & pipelines) from SAP Data Services and SQL Server to Databricks.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensuring that the new solution (in the form of data product) meets these needs.
• Performing data mapping, data validation, and data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the migrated data.
• Providing technical guidance to the data engineers participating in the migration
• Conducting thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues that arise during the migration.
• Making sure that all documentation (technical analysis, test cases, non-functional requirements) is available during the end-to-end migration process
• Reporting and planning on the migration project status

Deliverables

• Software requirements specifications (made by yourself and team members), data model, data flow, documentation and manuals, test plan and test cases.
• Documented best practices and common data requirements
• Project status reports for the migration initiative
• End-to-end data product delivery by yourself and data engineers working for you or other team members (technical analysis, test plan)

Qualifications

Your profile

• Proficient in French or Dutch and active knowledge of the other.
• Active knowledge of English
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Technical skills

• Experience with Azure Databricks and SAP Data Services ETL tool
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Pyspark or SQL.
• Over 3 years’ experience in Banking and Financial Services sector
• Over 5 years’ experience in IT projects related to business intelligence or data analytics
• Proven experience in data warehouse migration projects, specifically with SAP Data Services, SQL Server and Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques.
• Project management skills would be considered an asset, but not required
