About You

You are a seasoned Mobile Architect with extensive experience designing, evaluating, and evolving enterprise mobile solutions. You have successfully led architecture assessments, modernization initiatives, and mobile transformation projects, helping organizations improve scalability, maintainability, performance, and operational efficiency.

You excel at understanding complex systems, even when documentation is limited, and can quickly identify architectural risks, technical debt, and opportunities for improvement. You are comfortable working across engineering, product, and business teams, translating technical findings into practical recommendations and actionable roadmaps.

You bring a strategic mindset combined with hands-on mobile expertise, allowing you to evaluate current-state architectures and define scalable future-state solutions aligned with business objectives.

• Note: Open to candidates from Venezuela, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras willing to relocate.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in mobile application development, architecture, and technical leadership.
• Experience serving as a Mobile Architect, Lead Mobile Engineer, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar architecture-focused role.
• Strong expertise designing and evaluating mobile application architectures across iOS and Android platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart.
• Experience working with cross-platform mobile applications and evaluating existing mobile ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and multi-platform mobile environments.
• Strong understanding of scalability, performance optimization, maintainability, security, and mobile architecture best practices.
• Experience conducting architecture assessments, technical audits, and modernization initiatives.
• Solid knowledge of Clean Architecture, Modular Architecture, MVVM, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and related architectural patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release management, automated testing strategies, and DevOps practices for mobile applications.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs, cloud services, and third-party platforms.
• Ability to create architecture documentation, technical diagrams, recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Assess and document the current-state architecture of an existing Flutter-based mobile platform.
• Conduct technical discovery activities to understand application structure, integrations, dependencies, and architectural decisions.
• Evaluate the platform from iOS, Android, and Huawei ecosystem perspectives.
• Identify technical debt, scalability challenges, performance bottlenecks, security concerns, and maintainability risks.
• Analyze current resource utilization and recommend optimization opportunities.
• Define a target-state architecture aligned with future growth, scalability, and business objectives.
• Establish architecture standards, governance models, and mobile development best practices.
• Create architecture documentation, technical diagrams, recommendations, and implementation roadmaps.
• Recommend improvements related to code organization, modularity, testing strategies, state management, security, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to prioritize modernization initiatives.
• Present findings, recommendations, and implementation strategies to leadership and technical teams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance during the implementation of approved architecture improvements.
• Support the long-term evolution of the mobile platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Mobile Architecture or Technical Leadership roles.
• Strong experience with Flutter and Dart.
• Experience conducting architecture assessments or technical audits.
• Experience designing mobile solutions across iOS and Android platforms.
• Advanced English proficiency.
