Job Description

Aurora Dairies are currently seeking a Farm Hand to join our dedicated heifer rearing facility, located just 10 minutes from Yarram in the Southern Gippsland region of Victoria, approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes from Melbourne.

This farm plays a key role in supporting Aurora Dairies’ Gippsland dairy operations, focusing on the care, growth and development of replacement heifers to ensure a strong future herd. The property spans approximately 700Ha, including 270Ha of centre pivot irrigation with VRI, as well as a 70Ha lateral walking irrigator. 

On-site accommodation is available for the successful candidate.

This role will include tasks the areas of:

 

  • Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures.
  • Animal husbandry.
  • Pasture management.
  • Machinery operation.
  • Repairs and maintenance.

  • Past dairy industry experience is desirable for this position, but we may consider inexperienced applicants with the right attitude.
