About this role

Company Description

At Mission Critical Group (MCG), we don’t just manufacture electrical systems—we deliver power reliability where it matters most. From data centers to critical infrastructure, our solutions keep the world running. With more than one million square feet of U.S. manufacturing capacity, we move fast, build smart, and never compromise on quality.

Job Description

This is a dual-impact role—you’ll lead by example while staying hands-on with fabrication. You’ll partner closely with the Metal Shop Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly, safely, and on schedule, while mentoring technicians and ensuring every product meets exact customer specifications.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate daily metal shop operations to meet productivity, quality, and delivery goals
  • Serve as a trusted leader and point of contact when the Supervisor is unavailable
  • Operate and oversee CNC punches, press brakes, shears, saws, and welding processes
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics with precision
  • Train, coach, and support metal shop technicians
  • Champion safety, OSHA compliance, and equipment maintenance
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Support shipment preparation and occasional on-site installation or service work

The role is non-exempt and typically works a 40-hour work week, with flexibility required for overtime, evenings, or weekends to meet critical production deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 4–5+ years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field
  • Strong leadership mindset with hands-on technical expertise
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently and solve problems on the fly
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with flexible hours
  • Technical or college degree a plus (not required)
  • Overtime flexibility is required to meet critical deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed

Who Thrives Here

If you take ownership of your work, care deeply about safety and quality, enjoy mentoring others, and want to be part of a team that builds critical infrastructure—you’ll feel right at home at MCG.

Work Environment

  • Production floor setting
  • Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and use of hand and power tools
  • Occasional travel between facilities or to client sites may be required

Why Mission Critical Group?

  • Work on mission-critical products that power essential infrastructure
  • Lead teams in a fast-growing, U.S.-based manufacturing organization
  • Influence real operational change—not just maintain the status quo
  • Be part of a company that values people, safety, and performance

If you’re ready to lead from the floor, drive results, and build something that truly matters—we’d love to meet you.

Apply today and power what’s next.
