About this role

StandWithUs Campus is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Campus Regional Manager for the Midwest region to meet the ongoing and growing needs of the campus department. The Campus Regional Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with universities and colleges in their designated region and supporting both students and campus professionals in organizing educational programs and campaigns about Israel, addressing and correcting misinformation, and combating antisemitism on campus. Ideal candidates should be able to thrive in a vibrant, fast-paced, and flexible environment.  


Campus Regional Managers are tasked with promoting organizational resources, recruiting strong numbers for our leadership programs, presenting on a variety of related topics, monitoring and responding to antisemitic and anti-Israel activity, and providing curated support from StandWithUs to campus stakeholders as needed. The Campus Regional Manager serves as a mentor and role model for emerging leaders on campus and should feel motivated to extend their reach to as many students and schools as possible. 


As a Campus Regional Manager, you will join a team of dynamic, passionate professionals based in regions across North America. This position is suited for someone who cares deeply about empowering the next generation of leaders with knowledge and tools to share Israel’s story, engage and inspire their peers, and stand up to hate. Through this role, Campus Regional Managers are expected to exemplify professional skills in project management, public speaking, event planning, administrative tracking, recruitment, mentorship, and networking. Regional Managers represent the Campus Department and StandWithUs as a whole through campus outreach and community engagement that strengthen our local presence and expand our impact. 


Campus Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain an active presence on campuses in the region and cultivate relationships with student leaders, on-campus professionals, and regionally based partners 
  • Identify, train, and guide students in becoming successful leaders within their campus communities 
  • Instill a strong foundation and understanding of Israel’s history, society, current events, and Zionism within students in your network 
  • Mentor and assist students with campus leadership, engagement, relationship-building, and program-planning 
  • Monitor and track anti-Israel and antisemitic activity in the region and spearhead responsive strategies in partnership with students, partners, and campus stakeholders 
  • Coordinate efforts with other StandWithUs Departments to provide students and partners well-rounded support and resources, both proactively and responsively as needed 
  • Recruit, select, and directly mentor a cohort of StandWithUs Emerson Fellows in your region through monthly educational sessions, 1-on-1 meetings, and personalized goal setting; provide a similar level of support for other leadership programs in the department like FLI: First-Year Leadership Internship and other student opportunities 
  • Travel to various campuses within the region and coordinate meetings with students, on-campus professionals, and other campus stakeholders; arrange travel to also include StandWithUs presentations and programs  
  • Learn StandWithUs workshops and presentations and offer yourself as a speaker to campuses and communities in the region 
  • Participate in StandWithUs conferences as a staff member, which includes facilitating assigned workshops and helping with pre-conference prep 
  • Document student activities and other important campus milestones within established tracking systems 
  • Maintain open and regular communication with StandWithUs Campus supervisors and participate in team calls and activities 


Regional Responsibilities: 

  • Communicate frequently with regional StandWithUs staff regarding campus activities and incidents 
  • Participate in local chapter activities and events 
  • Coordinate efforts and outreach with regional counterparts to best serve the local community 
  • Establish relationships with local community leaders and assist regional staff with fundraising efforts 


Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree from 4-year college or university 
  • 0-3 years of experience; at least one year of previous experience in the field preferred 
  • Demonstrated strong project management, organizational, and time management skills; a high capacity to handle multiple tasks and high-stress situations 
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office and webinar applications like Zoom  
  • Proficient knowledge of Israel’s history, society, and current affairs 
  • Passion for Israel education, activism, combating antisemitism, and community building 
  • Experience in campus activism and leadership relating to Israel and the Jewish community strongly preferred  
  • A high degree of innovation and flexibility to meet organizational and departmental objectives 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • A background in public speaking required 
  • Ability to learn quickly, think creatively, work independently, and practice a solution-oriented approach 
  • Must have American citizenship or a valid work visa; please note that StandWithUs cannot sponsor work visas.  


This position normally entails regular travel to designated college campuses in the region, apart from external factors like COVID-19 or the financial capabilities of the organization. It is required to have a personal vehicle available to you, a valid driver’s license, and current, comprehensive driver’s insurance, including liability, for work-related matters.  


This position is based in Michigan or Chicago.

Salary: Starting at $55,000, subject to experience 


This is a full-time position that also includes benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance and a phone subsidy. The StandWithUs Campus Regional Manager role is an entry-level position with the potential for growth for those with a proven track record of success, pending available opportunities and financial capabilities of the organization.
