Job Description

We’re looking for a qualified Electrician for our Sydney team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the ongoing maintenance and servicing of installed EVSE units. You’ll also support checks on newly installed chargers, complete software commissioning tasks, and be the first responder for diagnosing and resolving charger faults.

YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintenance & Servicing of EV Chargers

  • Stay up to date with OEM installation guidelines and operations for the chargers that we install, operate and maintain.
  • Perform regular inspections, testing and maintenance of EV charging systems including the chargers, electrical wiring, switchboards and auxiliary systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues on-site
  • Replace faulty components and restore chargers to operational status
  • Ensure site safety and compliance during service works
  • Completion of maintenance and service reports after site visits

Installation Checks & Quality Assurance

  • Stay up to date with OEM installation guidelines and operations for the chargers that we install, operate and maintain.
  • Conduct visual and functional inspections of new charger installations
  • Verify correct electrical setup, earthing, and protection mechanisms
  • Ensure installation quality aligns with OEM installation guidelines, internal standards and Australian regulations

EV Charging Commissioning & Software Programming

  • Commissioning of EV charging stations – connecting power to the EV chargers, configuring and ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Check wiring of EV chargers from factory to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Set up and configure backend settings for each charger, including OCPP settings.
  • Collaborate remotely and on-site with installation teams to ensure successful system deployment of EV Chargers
  • Configure settings, integrate and onboard chargers into backend systems
  • Set up network connections (4G, WiFi, LAN) and troubleshoot connectivity

Fault Monitoring & Issue Resolution

  • Monitor alerts from backend platforms and respond to fault reports
  • Perform on-site or remote diagnosis and implement corrective actions
  • Liaise with engineering or product teams when deeper issues arise

Safety, Documentation & Reporting

  • Ensure a safe environment in the warehouse for testing and commissioning EV chargers for the other personnel in the office.
  • Report site visits details (servicing and maintenance), commissioning and scheduling to respective teams to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Complete detailed service reports for each job
  • Maintain digital records of charger performance and issues
  • Provide feedback to improve internal workflows and product quality

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Work with the Service Manager, Engineers, and Operations Team to prioritise and execute site visits
  • Work with installers, project managers, engineers and field technicians to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues.
  • Engage with the Customer Support team to provide technical insights and assistance.
  • Communicate with Site Contacts and Clients to coordinate access and ensure satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the Backend Software Team to resolve integration or operational issues
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in processes and products.

Qualifications

  • NSW Licensed Electrician (Certificate III in Electrotechnology)
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and willing to travel to customer sites
  • 2+ years of field service or maintenance experience preferred
