Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Huntingdon. We are looking for compassionate home care workers to work in the evenings in Huntingdon between 5pm – 10pm Monday to Friday and  alternate Weekends. As a Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalized care and support in their homes.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication management
• Prepare nutritious meals and help with light housekeeping tasks
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behaviour to supervisors
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe environment for clients
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for supporting others and delivering outstanding care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and their families
• Strong sense of reliability, trustworthiness, and respect for client confidentiality
• Physical stamina to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
• Patience, empathy, and understanding towards clients' diverse needs
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for client transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not required
