Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in Bath, United Kingdom. As a Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personalized care and support in their homes.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversations and activities
• Prepare nutritious meals and help with light housekeeping tasks
• Accompany clients to appointments and social outings as needed
• Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health to the care team
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
• Adapt to clients' individual needs and preferences, promoting their independence and dignity
• Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies or unexpected situations
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance care skills and knowledge

Qualifications

• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, understanding, and ability to work with diverse personalities and needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as required.
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to care standards
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and remain calm under pressure
• Full training is given regardless of experience. 

Additional Information

• We pay between £13.00 to £28.00 a hour.
• Paid Travel and Waiting time between client visits 
• Paid mileage, with payments matched to current fuel prices.
• Paid on-boarding training and ongoing training including CPR and Dementia training. Free qualifications such as The Care Certificate, NVQ diplomas.
• Paid holiday 
• Regular working pattern with 1- hour minimum visits to regular clients.
• Out of hours support from the Office team
