Job Description

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Luton as a Live In Care CAREGiver. As a Live In Care CAREGiver, you will live in a client's home and provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home.

Primary Responsibilities:

•  Provide Live in Care, usually working alone.
• Reflect the core values of Home Instead Senior Care Franchise
•  Contribute to apositive living environment to enhance a client's quality of life.
•  as you will be staying in the client's home, you will follow their house rules and be mindful of their need for privacy.
•  Document daily activities of client , keep client safe and promote their well-being.
•  Maintain Regular communication with line Manager and office staff.

Companionship Services & Home Help:

•  Monitor Diet and eating.
•  Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities i.e clothing selection, hobbies etc.
•  Run errands/collect prescriptions etc.
•  Performing light household task i.e dusting, vacuuming and making beds etc.
• Help with travel arrangements.
• Accompany to appointments and social events etc.
•  Plan prepare and tidy away meals.
• Supervise home Maintenance.

Personal Care Services

•  Help with bathing, dressing and grooming.
•  Provide medication reminders
•  Assit to eat and drink etc.
•  Help with continence care.
•  Provide respite / Dementia care.
•  Assist with morning / wake up and or evening / tuck in
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
•  Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
•  Ablity to listen, communicate and build relationship with clients and their families in a friendly and pleasant manner.
•  Excellent time keepr, organised and professional.
•  Willing to seek guidance when needed and follow instructions.
•  Good level of stamina and fitness to meet the physical demands of the job.
•  Thos role require you to obtain as Enhance Disclosure ( DBS ) from the relevant body.

Additional Information

As a Live In Care CAREGiver, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi.  In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
