General Dynamics in St Leonards-on-Sea currently provide avionic mission computing systems for a wide range of military fast jets, helicopters, and UAV’s. Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and stores management systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.

Job Description

The Senior Project Controller role is wide ranging, the role interfaces with a number of key project stakeholders across the business, but primarily with Project Managers. The principle purpose of the role is to:

  • Support assigned Project Manager(s) to promote good planning practice and ensure scope, schedule & budget adherence.
  • Monitor, report & flag concerns, exceptions and issues through recognised escalation routes, along with proposed solutions.

Qualifications

To be considered for this Senior Project Controller role, you should have:

  • Considerable experience working in a controlled project environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project for creating and maintaining project schedules
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience with risk management tools and practices
  • Ability to support a portfolio of projects of medium to high complexity
  • Flexibility and a service delivery mind-set
  • Solid understanding of project support knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Capability to produce high-quality work on time
  • Familiarity with Project Controller competencies
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience

The ideal candidate is proactive, contributes to improvement initiatives, and can work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Information

This role has a salary of between £40,320 and £58,000 plus our flexible benefits package.

We are open to this role being spent with time working from home and in the office (hybrid - typically 3 days working in office) on a weekly basis or fully in our offices.

Relocation assistance may be available for qualifying UK based applicants to move closer to our sites.
