Animal Referral Hospital Homebush in Sydney is your opportunity to expand on your clinical skills in a supportive and exciting environment!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing amazing nursing care to critically ill and injured patients from triage throughout their stay with us
- Working directly with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective treatment and patient care
- Monitor patients closely, administer medications, assist with medical and surgical procedures as needed
- IV catheter placement, blood collection, assisting with diagnostic imaging. This could progress to advanced line placements and advanced critical monitoring in our dedicated CCU for the right candidate
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
- Client communication, providing advice, answering questions and supporting clients during stressful times
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with minimum 2 years' nursing experience
- A passion to advance their skills with regular CE and ongoing in-house mentorship
- Previous experience working within an emergency and specialty hospital would be highly regarded but not essential
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask/prioritise
- Ability to provide high quality patient care even in busy conditions
- A friendly, team player attitude - team culture is very important to us!
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and some public holidays
