Job Description

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervising the design, installation, and implementation of maintenance programs of all feedmill equipment by formulating and implementing supervision of preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure reliable, maximum efficiency, and safe operation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Installation and Maintenance of Electrical Systems and Equipment:

1. Plans, schedules, and supervises the repair and maintenance works of feed mill electrical systems and equipment, ensuring that repair procedures follow equipment specifications and applicable standards and that they are finished on time and without compromising safety, workmanship quality, and productivity.

2. Submits list and discusses priority works with immediate superior and/or concerned department heads or process owners for appropriate action.

3. Regularly reviews the equipment, system, and plant shutdown reports and performs root cause analyses of downtime caused by electrical system or equipment failures.

4. Ensures that causes of equipment and/or system failures are identified, validated, and given priority in the next maintenance works scheduling, and that plant downtime does not exceed set standards.

5. Regularly reviews, recommends, and implements approved cost-effective maintenance programs to ensure effective maintenance of critical and non-critical equipment, based on the root causes identified from previous problems encountered, condition monitoring, and time-based tasks, ensuring that identified problems do not recur.

6. Establishes and implements a maintenance monitoring plan for critical and non-critical equipment.

7. Checks and analyzes the data of the operating conditions of equipment/machine regularly and forwards recommendations to the immediate superior necessary measures to ensure safe and cost-efficient operations.

8. Assign and monitor the progress of issued work orders or job orders to team members (TMs) and contractors, ensuring that TMs and contractors conform to required lead-time, maintenance specifications, and standards on quality of workmanship.

9. Coordinates with the Maintenance Planner in establishing and maintaining an efficient materials/spare parts requisition system.

10. Establishes, maintains, recommends, and implements a good housekeeping program for all areas supervised to ensure compliance with, but not limited t,o 5S and other company standards and government regulations

Energy and Supplies Management:

1. Monitors Solar Production and maintenance, and  regularly coordinates with 3rd party suppliers (AP)

2. Supervise CESS operation and evaluate power consumption per ton of product produced.

Continuous Improvement Projects:

1. Conducts feasibility studies on possible alterations or system improvements to optimize plant safety and efficiency. Forwards recommendations to the immediate superior and/or concerned process owners for evaluation and approval.

2. Performs designs and cost estimates of electrical components of improvement projects, ensuring that these are in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards, and forwards them to the immediate superior process owners for evaluation and approval.

3. Interprets received electrical plans, drawings, and diagrams for projects, ensuring that these are properly explained and understood by subordinates during implementation.

4. Evaluate bid proposals for the supply of labor and/or materials for projects and maintenance works, ensuring that they satisfy the required specifications and applicable standards. Submits recommendations to the immediate superior for final approval.

5. Supervises the installation of plant electrical systems and/or equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency and that the specifications are met.

6. Recommends and implements approved company policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance safety and accident prevention of manpower and electrical equipment at all times.

Solar Energy Management:

1. Monitors the operation of the solar power system, ensuring that all electrical systems are in their optimum operating condition.

People Development

1. Supervises, monitors, and evaluates the performance of direct subordinates.

2. Builds IDP and provides intervention for the development and growth of direct subordinates.

3. Monitors the services of third-party manpower service providers in the Engineering department.

Food Safety:

1. Ensures execution of quality, Halal, health, and food safety policies, standards, and regulations within the team. 

2. Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management systems to identified authorities

Other Tasks:

1. Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility,  risk management, etc. 

2. Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the team leader.

Qualifications

Education:

• A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering  or Industrial Electrical Technology

Experience:

• With at least 3 years of experience in related work

Licenses:

• License Engineer or License Master Electrician

Other Requirements:

• Excellent Knowledge of and familiarity with plant electrical systems and design.

• In-depth expertise in the capability to interpret symbols/plans

• Thorough knowledge of troubleshooting electrical and control system faults.

• Thorough knowledge of Pneumatics/Electro-pneumatic control systems.

• Thorough knowledge and troubleshooting of PLC and SCADA.

• Good project management computer skills (word, excel and ppt or related software)

• Good communication skills (verbal and written)

• Very good management skills (PLOC)

• Excellent problem-solving and analysis

• Highly detail-oriented

• Very good organizational skills

• Very Good coordination skills
