Job Title: Systems Developer- Linux

Location: Parsippany, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:

The role of the Systems Developer is to develop and maintain code which automates system management tasks to speed system delivery, ensure consistency and enforce standards. The candidate must have a strong understanding of Linux-based system administration and significant experience using scripting languages such as PERL, PHP and shell scripting to automate system administration tasks.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience as a system administrator and provide examples of previous automation experience as outlined above.

Required skills:

β€’ Significant Linux system administration experience in a large heterogeneous environment

β€’ Proven ability designing and developing scripts to automate system administration activities

β€’ Strong experience in PERL and Shell scripting with code samples provided

β€’ Experience with virtualization technologies; OVM or Solaris Domains preferred

β€’ Strong experience with network services such as DNS, LDAP, Print Services, etc.

β€’ Experience with XML technologies such as XSL, XQuery, XSD, SOAP, WSDL, XPath

β€’ Experience with FIM tools such as OSSEC or TripWire

β€’ Experience with security scanners such as Nessus and/or assessment services such as TrustWave

β€’ Experience with SEIM tools such as Splunk

β€’ Deployment and administration of two-factor authentication solutions such as SecurID or Duo Security

β€’ Experience hardening systems using tools such as TCP Wrappers, PAM, SELinux & iptables

β€’ Administration of enterprise class backup solutions such as NetBackup

β€’ Experience with EMC SAN solutions such as VMAX and XtremIO

Preferred Skills:

β€’ Solaris system administration

β€’ Experience writing SQL code

β€’ Oracle E-Business Suite

β€’ Scrum/Agile methodologies

β€’ System administration within a PCI environment

Preferred Certifications:

  • Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Linux 5 and 6 System Administrator Certification or Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Linux 6 System Administrator Certification
  • Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Solaris 11 System Administrator or Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Solaris 11 System Administrator
  • Oracle VM 3.0 for x86 Certified Implementation Specialist
