Job Description

Position: DBA Application Location: Washington, DCDuration: 8 Monthsyellow">Interview : Phone and In person required by the clientDBAApplication yellow;mso-highlight:yellow">side (Sr. Level 10+ year’s exp)Thisindividual will work with the application developers and be responsible forperformance tuning and monitoring the DB application. They will act as anadvisor to the database developers with regards to data modeling and querieswriting. A strong knowledge of SQL is required.While theymay not have to write stored procedures using PL/SQL, they will have to be ableto read and understand stored procedures.Theyshould have a solid knowledge of tuning queries and that knowledge shouldinclude aspects of the following:1.        Materialized Views2.        mso-highlight:yellow">Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) and AutomaticDatabase Diagnostic Monitor (ADDM).3.        Partitioning strategies4.        Query Hints5.        Oracle Statistics GatheringSkills/Tools:Oracle 11 and 12c, SQL, data modeling, Stored Procedures (PL/SQL), GridControl, SQL Developer (or Toad), some replication skills +.
