Job Description

The Operator ensures the smooth operation of Movu’s systems at customer sites after commissioning and before the official handover. They act as the primary user of the system during this phase, validating its functionality, identifying any inconsistencies, and ensuring stability before final acceptance. By closely monitoring system performance, reporting issues, and maintaining detailed logs, the Operator plays a key role in delivering a fully functional and reliable system to the customer. The role requires a proactive approach, strong technical insight, and close collaboration with product experts and commissioning engineers.

System Operation & Testing

  • Operate Movu’s systems at customer sites, in Germany or abroad, after commissioning and during the final phase before the official handover.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the system, which is already in use by the customer but not yet formally accepted.
  • Work critically with the system, proactively identifying and addressing any inconsistent behaviour or performance issues.
  • A rotation between the Movu HQ production and testing environment, and acting as an operator abroad might be introduced to ensure that not all working time is spent abroad.

Issue Reporting & Documentation

  • Detect and report any irregularities, bugs, or deviations in system behaviour to the Product Experts.
  • Maintain a structured log file, documenting daily observations, detected issues, troubleshooting actions, and potential improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement by providing detailed feedback on system performance before handover.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with commissioning engineers, product experts, and customer teams to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customer feedback regarding system performance before handover.
  • Clearly communicate detected issues and follow up on resolutions to ensure a stable and fully functional system for the customer.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a logistic/automation environment is an asset.
  • Willingness to work in shifts when requested by the customer.
  • Willingness to work in cold store environments.
  • You are willing to work at heights.
  • Comfortable with software tools and systems.
  • Hands-on approach with ability to perform repairs.
  • Proficient in English, other EU languages are a plus. 
  • Computer skills: MS Office + Teams
  • You are sociable, eager to learn, driven and solution-oriented.
  • Naturally customer-friendly
  • A lot of travelling
  • In possession of a driving licence
