Chief Sales Engineer - Commercial Ground Vehicles

DESCRIPTION We are currently seeking a Chief Sales Engineer - Commercial Ground Vehicle for the business headquartered in Wilson, NC. 

Area of Expertise:
Strong engineering background with specific strengths in commercial vehicle design standards (bus, truck, automotive) that hold responsibility for engineered systems on Commercial Ground Vehicles. Program Management to assist with driving products to completion through engineering to bring new products to new markets.

Area of Focus:

•Promote the consistent and unified direction of all applications engineers globally
•Consistent risk hazard analysis for PMark and new/existing bus chassis system configurations
•Application certifications for all new builds on chassis as required by end-users
•Consistent test and new product introduction on a global basis including relevant standards and best practices
•New product applications in new markets globally with a strong focus on Europe
•Seek out lower-cost alternatives to current offerings
•Seek out new alternatives to current offerings

Level of Responsibility:

•Responsible for entire projects with significant scope and complexity
•Contributes to the department or business unit by applying their advanced knowledge of one or more functional areas.
• Must develop and coach others
•Has expert knowledge that extends across multiple disciplines


*Education / Certifications
•BA/BS Degree with 6-10+ years experience
•MA/MS Degree with 4-7+ years experience

*Experience / Qualifications
•Must have engineering degree
•Electrical engineer preferred
•4+ yrs automotive engineering experience
•Bus/heavy truck experience preferred
•Previous management experience preferred

7+ to 10 years experience
