Job Description

ā€¢ Mobile application development using Java running on Android, with special emphasis on security system integration and monitoring features.

ā€¢ Working in a fast-pace environment with a cross-functional group of HW, FW, SW engineers.

ā€¢ Working within the agile SW development model, using Scrum methodology.

Ā 

ITEMIZED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

ā€¢ Android application development on multiple devices, screen sizes and layouts.

ā€¢ Research, development and debugging of security areas of home control application.

ā€¢ Develop and coordinate design tasks and schedules with the cross functional design teams.

ā€¢ Branching and merging of code using a modern source code repository.

ā€¢ Conduct cross functional design reviews, develop and conduct validation testing routines needed to insure highly reliable best in class quality products.

ā€¢ Participate in the development processing and scheduling for predictable and accurate on time delivery of products.

Ā 

NEEDED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

ā€¢ Android development in Java.

ā€¢ C++ development and accessing via JNI.

ā€¢ Debugging and testing, including unit testing, of your own code.

ā€¢ Video streaming experience is desirable.

ā€¢ Experience with embedded scripting languages is desirable. Bonus for Lua experience.

ā€¢ Experience with other mobile platforms, specifically iOS, is a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

ā€¢ Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering.

ā€¢ 2 years Android application development
