Job Description

Responsibilities :
Position is responsible in assisting with the product management, planning, development, delivery, and life-cycle management of new video products & features, platform enhancements, and advanced technologies for FiOS IPTV.

Candidate must be a strong leader in product development with systems analysis skills and the ability to take business requirements and create technical requirements and user stories/journeys.

This position will interface directly with internal development teams and with key external stakeholders and product owners.

Responsibilities include performing various support activities for key product management deliverables, including product requirements documentation, product line performance metrics and cross-functional team coordination.


Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for:

β€’ Identify market trends, perform competitive analysis, and assess impact/opportunities for new video initiatives.
β€’ Deliver business and product requirements documents, feature prioritization, use-cases and write user stories.
β€’ Work hands-on with development, QA, designers, business, marketing and operations teams to successfully design, build, and deploy product features
β€’ Develop Software/Network requirements and functional specifications. Provide solutions leadership throughout the development process
β€’ Assist in the development of product & platform positioning, feature development roadmap, and service requirements.
β€’ Prepare presentations on project initiatives for mid and upper-level management on a regular basis.
β€’ Working with various aspects of product management for a MVPD video service, with focus on DVR functionality, Merchandising, Service Assurance, and OSS integration.
β€’ The successful candidate should also expect to work very closely with Release Engineering and solidify the release cadence and build process for Content Management System delivery. This is especially important as the post GA roadmap is finalized. The business unit and commercial product team will need to understand (with a degree of predictability) what the release train looks like for v1.1, v1.2 features.


Required Qualifications:
β€’ 2+ years of experience in Technical Product Management
β€’ Experience with consumer video products & technologies or Content Management Systems
β€’ New product development experience in a fast paced, agile development environment
β€’ Previous exposure or experience with business case process and development
β€’ Strong analytical and problem solving skills and experience
β€’ Experience with large project teams in matrix organization is desirable. Requires ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, external business partners, and software vendors in a fast-paced environment.
β€’ Strong organization skills
β€’ Excellent communication and presentation skills.
β€’ Strong leadership skills
β€’ Degree in business or technology field required; MS preferred, experience in Software Development required
β€’ Previous experience with requirements and bug tracking tools like JIRA and Confluence is a benefit, although not required.
β€’ Must be able to travel for business in the United States (less than 25%).
β€’ Working understanding of software development process
β€’ Solid track record of delivering quality products and or systems.
