In this role, the EICA Engineer will be responsible for designing, engineering, and supporting electrical control panels for a wide range of industrial and building service applications. The position requires strong hands‑on knowledge of control panel design, component selection, load calculations, and coordination with manufacturing and Service/Sites teams.


Key Accountabilities

Electrical Control Panel Design & Engineering

  • Design LT control panels including MCC, PLC panels, VFD panels, pump control panels, HVAC control panels, and utility panels.
  • Prepare electrical schematics, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and BOM using AutoCAD / SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Perform panel load calculations, short‑circuit considerations, forms of construction, IP ratings as per applicable standards.

Component Selection & Technical Compliance

  • Select switchgear and control components such as MCB, MCCB, contactors, relays, timers, SMPS, PLCs, VFDs, and protection devices.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC / IS standards and customer technical specifications.
  • Support PLC selection based on application requirements (I/O count, communication, redundancy, and future expansion).

Cable & Wiring Engineering

  • Perform power and control cable sizing and selection based on load, voltage drop, short‑circuit rating, and installation conditions.
  • Prepare cable schedules, termination details, and earthing layouts.

Manufacturing & Site Support

  • Provide engineering support to panel manufacturing teams during assembly and testing.
  • Resolve design and wiring issues during FAT, SAT, and commissioning stages.
  • Coordinate with project, quality, and procurement teams for technical clarifications.

Documentation & Coordination

  • Prepare and review technical documentation including datasheets, wiring schedules, test procedures, Sequence of operations, O&M Manuals and as‑built drawings.
  • Interface with customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders for technical discussions.

ERP & BOM Management (Added Advantage)

  • Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for electrical control panels in the ERP system.
  • Ensure accuracy of part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and revisions in ERP.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to support material planning, costing, and timely execution.
  • Update BOMs based on design changes and ensure alignment between drawings, ERP data, and manufacturing requirements.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to undertake national travel and infrequent international travel (approximately 10–25%).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Thorough understanding of the company’s fluid management product portfolio and project delivery

What We’re Looking For

Education and Experience

  • BE / BTech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in electrical control panel design and engineering.
  • Proven hands‑on exposure to industrial electrical control panels.

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (Electrical drawings).
  • Sound knowledge of electrical control panel design, load calculation, and component selection.
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems, control logic, and panel integration.
  • Experience with cable sizing, earthing, and protection coordination.
  • Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control panels.

Soft Skills

  • Ability to analyze technical problems and provide practical solutions. Team-oriented leadership skills with a proactive approach.
  • Good coordination and communication skills with cross‑functional teams.
  • Self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
