Job Description
Head Production China performs the following activities: Production Management, Operation Standard System & WCOps management, Personnel & Training Responsibilities, Production Planning & Budgeting.
Production Management
- Ensure a cost effective and quality compliance production of Oetiker products
- Develops manufacturing objectives consistent with existing sales, projected sales forecasts and inventory requirements, contributes to DIO in reasonable level as required
- Ensure the timely delivery
- Build safety working culture and environment to ensure employee safety and health
- Plan and monitor all production activities against business plan and corporate directives
- Work with peers to jointly plan resources (people, equipment, material) to optimize production
- Plan, co-ordinate and implement corrective actions where deviations from plan occur
- Ensure compliance with Corporate Management manual, process manuals TS16949, ISO 14001/45001 EMS and safety requirements
- Review, approve and implement changes to production policies and procedures
- Review results of production and financial reports to determine the effectiveness in meeting business plan objectives
Operation Standard System & WCOps Management
- Develop and sustain operation standard system
- Initiates various programs that lead to improvements on quality, costs and overall efficiency of operation
- Evaluates and improves manufacturing methods, layouts, equipment and technology
- Review and create operation standard documentation when appropriate
- Develop and provide operation standards training methodology
- Initiate and sustain qualification and certification training
- Evaluation and audit of operation standard practices
- Ensure WCOps implementation
- Identify the automation opportunities in both manufacturing and non-manufacturing
Personnel & Training Responsibilities
- Prepare and conduct six months job reviews and annual performance appraisals
- Identify manpower / training requirements
- Provide or coordinate on-job training, manage qualification and requalification
- Recommend selection and dismissal of staff
- Administer time & attendance and overtime hours to meet production requirements.
Business Planning and Budgeting
- Work with peers/subordinate to jointly establish business plan objectives and the supporting plans which include:
- Capacity planning
- Production Planning
- Quality planning
- Resources planning (people, equipment, material)
- Annual departmental budgets (capital and expense)
- Review results and establish production directives
- Monitor compliance to customers and Corporate quality objectives
- Using market opportunities feedback, develop production and maintenance strategies
- Determine equipment, tooling and facilities requirements to support production and product development plan
- Determine opportunities for technology advancements
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Project Management Techniques
- Working knowledge of Microsoft project

- TWI Standard Operation Work Program
- Word-processing and spreadsheet application software
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, etc

- Statistical Process Control Techniques and Metrology
- Module 1 & 2 of internal training course
- Knowledge of Chinese Environmental, and Health & Safety Regulations (including WHIMS)

- 5 - 10 years of management experience in automotive manufacturing or high volume manufacturing industry
