Job Description

As Guzman y Gomez continues to grow, we are looking for a result driven Junior Development Manager to join our high performing Real Estate team. The Development Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our growth strategy and ensuring the success of new restaurant projects.  

What you can expect in the role: 

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Development VIC to understand and execute the real estate growth strategy in your designated area. 
  • Building a robust pipeline of potential sites, proactively identifying, and pursuing the best locations while connecting with key stakeholders to secure prime sites. 
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Development VIC of the progress of securing new restaurant locations and offering marketing insights that may impact our growth strategy. 
  • Ensure the number of restaurant openings in your designated area aligns with business targets, sales performance, and financial budgets. 
  • Work closely with construction managers and stakeholders to ensure new restaurant opening dates are met through proactive risk mitigation. 

You’ll enjoy this role if you have: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, or relevant field preferred but not essential
  • Experience in commercial real estate leasing negotiations  
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and trends 
  • Legal documentation and resolution skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills 
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams including Construction Project Manager and Design Manager and lead the project from deal approval to restaurant opening.
