About this role

Company Description

Our food system is broken. Our climate is hurting. We are here to create a more sustainable, responsible and humane food system–with your help. We provide the incredibly delicious products, you enjoy and save the world.

Job Description

You’re going to be one of the most significant people in bringing the next iconic plant-based food brand to life. In fact, you will have a direct hand in growing the business by leading recruiting and people operations at a company transforming the food system for good. You are excited to bring your strong network, love for teams and culture-building as well as knowledge of all things people and recruiting strategy to Eclipse. You understand the importance of building diverse and inclusive teams from the ground up and thrive when juggling multiple projects, especially in a fast-moving, exciting startup environment.

Who are you?

  • You have 6 + years of in-house recruiting experience in full lifecycle recruiting from sourcing to onboarding across all departments.

    • Strong plus if you have recruited for food / CPG companies!

  • You are high energy and incredibly passionate about your work and the plant-based movement. You care deeply about changing our food system and have the skills to make it happen.

  • You have experience in people operations including onboarding new hires and planning team bonding events!

  • You are the definition of a people person and feel most “in your flow” when connecting with others, whether on the phone, in person, or even via email!

  • You are equally thoughtful about designing recruitment strategies and processes AND diligent about answering every last email and LinkedIn correspondence with warmth and personality.

  • You recognize the importance of hiring for diversity and inclusion and know how to hire from underrepresented groups.

  • You thrive in ambiguous situations and startup-like environments. You take ownership and create solutions to problems. You are known to offer help before being asked.

  • You’re a great person, in and out of work. You are smart, proactive, trustworthy, kind, humble, organized and hard-working.

Who are we?

  • We’re the next massive plant-based food company, revolutionizing the $100B dairy sector. Our investors include the founder of Reddit, the creator of Gmail, Y Combinator, and the former chairman of the board of Daiya Foods.

  • We’re behind some of the best selling plant-based products in the world (JUST Mayo, for example).

  • We’re on a mission to save our planet, our health, and animals by creating a solution to fix the food system.

  • We’re people of integrity. We do what we say we will do, we treat others right, we care deeply about those around us, and we put our hearts into our work.

  • We love spending time together both inside (our brand new HQ!) and outside of the office, when it’s safe to gather again :).

What will you do?

  • Manage full lifecycle recruiting process, including writing job descriptions with hiring managers, sourcing candidates across various platforms and channels, project managing multiple interview processes, screening resumes, and supporting closing conversations

  • Design talent strategy with deep understanding of our strategic priorities and intentionality around hiring with diversity and inclusion in mind

  • Monitor success of recruiting initiatives by defining and tracking key indicators

  • Proactively brainstorm and pursue improvements in recruitment processes

  • Partner with the CEO to help shape company culture by brainstorming company events and team outings

  • Own various people ops processes and policies such as performance review cycles, compensation and benefits, and new hire onboarding

  • Research and implement an Applicant Tracking System

  • Educate hiring managers about best practices related to sourcing communications and interviewing
