Our primary focus is the supply of goods and services to the electrical trade, with seven branches in the Lower North Island — Manawatu, Levin, Kapiti, Lower Hutt, Upper Hutt, Wellington, and Porirua.

About the Role
As our Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for keeping our financial systems in top shape and ensuring our reporting is accurate and reliable. You’ll work closely with our CEO, branch managers, and external accountants, while leading a small, capable team who keep things running day to day.
Here’s a bit of what your week might look like:
- Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and tax compliance (GST, PAYE, FBT, ACC)
- Preparing budgets, financial reports, and cash flow forecasts
- Managing daily banking and cash flow to keep things on track
- Supporting year-end reporting with external accountants
- Providing financial advice and insights to the CEO and branch managers
- Maintaining accounting systems, policies, and internal controls
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting your finance team
- Driving process improvements to ensure accuracy and efficiency
About You
You’ll bring a mix of technical accounting expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership capability. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed, but also confident providing financial insight at a strategic level.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Appropriate tertiary qualification in Accounting
- Membership of a professional accounting body (CAANZ or similar) preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ commercial accounting experience
- Experience in wholesaling, retail, or a similar industry is an advantage
- Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite preferred
Additional Requirements
- Valid New Zealand driver’s license
- Successful completion of criminal and health pre-employment checks
- Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
