Associate Dentist (Private)

We are looking for a talented and patient-focused Associate Dentist to join our friendly and professional team on Saturdays . This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality private dentistry and providing exceptional patient care.

As an Associate Dentist, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of treatments while building strong, lasting relationships with patients in a supportive and modern practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred dental care across a comprehensive range of treatments, including restorative, preventative, and aesthetic dentistry.

  • Carry out thorough clinical examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

  • Perform a variety of dental procedures with precision while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records and documentation in line with GDC standards and practice protocols.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, explaining treatment options and building trust through empathetic and transparent discussions.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider practice team to ensure seamless patient experiences and coordinated care.

  • Adhere to all infection control, health and safety regulations, and best practice guidelines.

  • Manage your clinical diary efficiently to optimise patient scheduling and treatment outcomes.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and stay up to date with advancements in dental technology and clinical techniques.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or an equivalent internationally recognised dental qualification

  • Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) and a valid licence to practise in the UK

  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance

  • Proven clinical experience in dentistry, particularly in restorative and preventative care

  • Strong diagnostic abilities and confident clinical decision-making skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to reassure and effectively manage patient needs

  • Ability to maintain accurate and compliant clinical records in line with GDC standards

  • Good understanding of infection control procedures and health and safety regulations

  • A well-organised, self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a private dental practice setting

  • Familiarity with digital dentistry and modern dental practice management software

  • Knowledge or experience in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry

  • A strong commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and ongoing postgraduate education

Additional Information

Clinician working hours Saturdays only. Times can be negotiable.
