About this role

About Caliber
Caliber is a media company built to define a new era for journalism. All brands in the Caliber family reimagine how stories are created, shared, and valued. We meet modern audiences on their terms, in their tone, and on their time, supporting storytellers with the tools, training, and rigour to shape the world with integrity.

With newsrooms in New York and London, and a global network of trained creators, we deliver stories that matter—shaped by robust measurement and a deep understanding of digital platforms.

About the Role

We're seeking a Social Analyst who transforms complex digital marketing and performance data into compelling narratives that drive strategic business decisions both internally and on behalf of our clients at The Caliber Collective.

You'll analyse performance across social media and digital channels to uncover insights that resonate with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

We’re open to your background but it’s likely you’ll be a graduate with a deep interest in digital media and a keen understanding of social analytics, who is interested in exploring different areas of social media management, strategy and analysis - from analysing always-on organic social channels to providing regular reporting for social activation campaigns, as well as providing recommendations which ladder up to our account team’s work with new and retained clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyse data from social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube), paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Meta, programmatic), partnerships, and digital marketing channels to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key metrics (ROI, ROAS, conversion rates, CAC) and campaign performance.
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights tailored to diverse audiences—from executives to external clients and commercial partners.
  • Work with limited performance metrics to guide our head of social and account managers and clients on understanding campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with account, marketing, and partnership teams to understand objectives and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Prepare findings and strategic recommendations to clients and partners, demonstrating both technical expertise and business acumen.

About you

Ideally you will have

  • An ability to analyse social media analytics, partnership performance, and digital marketing channels
  • A strong understanding of social media platforms, the differences between them and the role each can play in different areas of business
  • A deep interest and desire to work across multiple areas of digital media, from client campaigns to social management and strategy

You will be:

  • A strong analytical storyteller - you can distill complex data into narratives that drive decisions, not just reports
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to translate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • The ability to tailor insights based on specific audience needs
  • A lateral thinker, willing to challenge those around you and always looking for new ways of delivering insights and pushing those around you to think differently

Technical skills:

You will have a deep understanding and comfort with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as: Meta Business Manager, TikTok Business Manager, native social backend analytics (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X), Google Analytics (GA4) or Adobe Analytics, and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)

Good to have but not essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics or related field
  • Marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, Sprinklr)
  • Statistical analysis, A/B testing, attribution modeling

What Makes You Stand Out

You drill down into the most pertinent areas of performance insights, thrive in collaborative environments, and balance detail-orientation with big-picture vision.
