Job Description

We require a Corporate Accountant to join our team for a 13-month contract role, covering maternity leave.

The Corporate Accountant supports the delivery of accurate and timely financial and management reporting for corporate entities. Working closely with the Corporate Finance Manager and key stakeholders, the role helps ensure effective financial operations, compliance, and continuous improvement across corporate finance activities.

Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the month end close for corporate entities including the key group and holding companies
  • Maintaining General Ledger account reconciliations for specific accounts
  • Assisting in monthly cost centre reviews and budgeting in collaboration with cost centre owners and other relevant stakeholders
  • Administering group’s banking platforms and credit card programs
  • Managing the accounting of fixed assets, including acquisitions, depreciation, and disposals
  • Assisting in accounts receivable management for corporate entities
  • Assisting with external audit process and providing support on key accounting matters
  • Potential involvement in projects encompassing process and control improvements
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

Qualifications

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance or similar
  • High outcome orientation and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • A high level of computer literacy
  • Team player, exhibits flexibility for different tasks and willingness to learn
  • Good communication, interpersonal and self-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and utilise a level of initiative
  • Excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritize and resolve competing priorities

 

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to Oracle products preferred
  • Professional designation i.e. Chartered Accountant or CPA qualified
  • Previous experience in corporate accounting role or professional services firm
