Company Description

Regency Park Family Practice is collaborative Family practice consisting of 7 Family Physicians, a Nurse Practitioner, and two Family Practice Nurses. This is a full-scope practice providing care for patients at all stages of life. The clinic also operates a duty clinic which is open to the public by appointment. The clinic is fully integrated into the MedAccess EMR system, and supported by 11 administrative staff, an Office Manager, and a Clinic Director. Billing support is provided, as well as EMR training if needed. There are a total of 21 providers working full-time and part-time, and the following specialties are located in the clinic:

Job Description

Regency Park Family Practice is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage October 26th to November 15th, 2026

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

Qualifications

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
