Citadel Health home is one of several new, turnkey collaborative practices supported by Nova Scotia Health. This clinic is located in the Spring Garden Road area of Halifax.  The clinic has free parking, gyms on site, meeting rooms, conference a group medical space, bariatric rooms (equipped with bariatric exam beds and furniture).  The Clinic offers comprehensive team-based care alongside a collaborative group of family physicians. The practice is supported by experienced and dedicated clerical staff who contribute to a smooth and efficient clinical environment.  The clinic utilizes Med Access EMR to support streamlined documentation and continuity of care.

Job Description

Citadel Health Home is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for the following dates:

July 27th- August 6th, 2026

Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.

Qualifications

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
