Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with individuals or groups, verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, and associates).

  • Maintain housekeeping and safety standards within the facility by monitoring trash levels in compactors, open-top containers, and trash lines; removing and baling cardboard from the trash line; and reporting trash levels as needed.

  • Process merchandise and pallets by moving pallets to staging areas and put-away locations using power equipment.

  • Ensure sufficient quantities of boxes are available for order fillers by monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.

Custodial Operations

  • Safely and correctly perform facility upkeep activities, including cleaning and maintaining internal areas of the facility.

  • Operate sweepers and scrubbers, completing assigned work in a timely and effective manner.

  • Identify unsafe working conditions, poor-quality products, or improper service procedures, and report them to management along with recommendations for improvement.

  • Ensure facility upkeep equipment is in proper working order and that supplies are organized and adequately stocked.
