About this role

Certex UK is a leading provider of lifting products, inspection, and training services across the UK. We are looking for an already experienced Trainer; or someone with the potential and relevant previous industry experience looking to become a Trainer to join our Harworth team and help us grow our training offering to new and existing customers.


About You:


  • As a confident and engaging public presenter/speaker, with the flexibility and willingness to travel within the UK mainly (sometimes at short notice), and occasionally overseas;
  • you will be personable, dependable and at ease at the front of a Training Room whilst engaging and supporting your delegates in their learning. You must be capable of remaining professional at all times, with a strong commitment to health and safety and promoting safe working practices within this safety critical industry;
  • You will either be currently working as a Trainer in the lifting industry, ideally delivering either LEEA or NPORS Accredited courses, with experience in Cranes and lifting operations (Desirable) and/or Slinger/Signaller/Banksman


If you are not already a Trainer, the ideal candidate would have a minimum 4 years as either a Lifting Equipment Inspection Engineer, a Mobile Crane Supervisor, Mobile Crane Appointed Person or have worked with mobile cranes for a minimum of 3-5 years and/or have experience in the role of Mobile Crane Examiner or Inspector performing thorough examinations under the LOLER Regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver high-quality NPORS and lifting industry training, in line with NPORS, LEEA and Certex UK procedures
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct training courses both on-site at Certex Harworth and at customer premises
  • Ensure all training documentation, assessment records, and certification paperwork is completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, promoting best practice at all times
  • Support the development of new courses and training materials as required
  • Represent Certex UK professionally with customers and delegates.
     

Additional Requirements:

 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and support delegates at all levels
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and course administration
  • A strong commitment to health and safety and promoting safe working practices
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
