Job Description

As a QA Engineer within our QA Center of Practice, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing how we approach quality assurance. Your mission will be to define and promote best-in-class QA practices for the entire engineering community at zooplus. This year, our focus is on leveraging the most advanced AI tools and methodologies to significantly increase efficiency and productivity in our QA processes throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). You will be a key player in enabling our engineering teams to adopt these innovative, AI-driven quality strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging AI-powered tools for test automation, test data generation, visual testing, and bug detection.
  • Develop and document best practices, guidelines, and frameworks for integrating AI into the QA process.
  • Create and deliver training and enablement materials to empower the engineering community to adopt AI-enhanced QA techniques.
  • Collaborate with development, product, and platform teams to embed these AI-driven practices into their daily workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define and track key metrics to measure the impact of AI adoption on QA efficiency, test effectiveness, and overall product quality.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and advocate for AI in Quality Assurance, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • A tech-agnostic mindset with a strong foundation in Quality Assurance principles and methodologies.
  • Proven experience in software testing and test automation using modern frameworks and languages (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright with Java, Python, or JavaScript).
  • A strong interest in or hands-on experience with applying AI tools to the QA domain (e.g., AI-assisted test case generation, self-healing tests, anomaly detection).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating quality gates within them.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to create clear documentation and effectively train other engineers.
