About this role

Canopy is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial campaigner to join the Pack4Good (P4G) team as Senior Corporate Campaigner, with a focus on producer engagement.

This is an external-facing role responsible for building and owning relationships with packaging producers, particularly in priority markets including China, to accelerate the uptake of Next Generation (Next Gen) materials like agricultural residues and drive meaningful progress toward Canopy’s 2030 goals. The successful candidate will combine deep knowledge of pulp and paper supply chains with the strategic acuity and cross-cultural fluency needed to operate in complex and rapidly evolving markets.

Why this role matters

Packaging is Canopy’s highest-growth opportunity for non-wood Next Gen fibre uptake, and the P4G strategy is focused on clustering brand demand signals around specific producers to create the market conditions for large-scale Next Gen adoption. The P4G Producer Senior Corporate Campaigner will be instrumental in operationalizing Canopy’s strategy. This is a high-leverage moment to transition packaging away from virgin wood fibre to protect the world’s remaining Ancient and Endangered Forests.

How to Apply: Please submit your CV, a cover letter, and a separate response to the prompt below. Applications missing either the cover letter or the prompt response will not be considered.

COVER LETTER
: A standard cover letter expressing your interest in Canopy and the Pack4Good Producer Senior Corporate Campaigner role.

PROMPT RESPONSE
: Please answer the following question in a clearly labelled section within your cover letter document:

Pack4Good's strategy for scaling Next Generation materials in packaging depends on identifying the right producers, understanding their supply chains, and creating the conditions for them to act.

Choose one packaging producer (a real company, not a hypothetical) that you believe represents a strong near-term opportunity for Canopy to engage on next gen fibre adoption.

In your answer, briefly describe:

  • Why you selected this producer - what characteristics (sourcing profile, customer base, regional footprint, or strategic positioning) make them a credible target
  • What you assess to be the primary barrier to their adoption of Next Gen materials, and how you would approach that barrier
  • One concrete first step you would take to open or advance a relationship with this producer, and how you would connect that outreach to Canopy's broader brand engagement work  Please keep your response to 300–400 words.
