Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Gimpo-si, South Korea. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of talented engineers, driving innovation and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

  • Provide clear communication and support to team within global engineering structure to create alignment to Global Engineering vision and goals
  • Take ownership of the Engineering scope, objectives and deliverables whilst engaging all relevant Global and Korea region stakeholders from Product management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing and Management.
  • Lead and manage team leaders across mechanical, electronics and software disciplines, ensuring clear roles, accountability and career development.
  • Lead the Employee engagement efforts to create fully engaged team with high‑performing culture.
  • Accountable for delivering small to large projects on time, on specification and on budget by managing risk to meet business and customer expectations
  • Prepare, manage and report Engineering plans, budgets, forecasts and KPIs
  • Motivate, direct and coach the team leaders; foster a collaborative working environment
  • Own the project development life cycle from concept through to final manufacture: design, implement, test and handover.
  • Develop, prepare and secure stakeholder buy‑in to project plans, schedules and resource allocations.
  • Lead design reviews to ensure Rotork designs and solutions, comply with specifications and relevant standards.
  • Present analysis results and project solutions to technical leads, senior leaders and customers as required.
  • Prepare and maintain technical records and reports to demonstrate compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to Sales, Service, Production, SupplyChain and Quality functions as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Engineering processes, tools and ways of working across the site and with global engineering teams.
  • Work closely with other Engineering locations with Design Authority to ensure global connections
  • Ensure adherence to quality, health & safety and risk management standards in all engineering activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree level education or relevant experience of minimum 15 years, in an engineering or science discipline
  • Proven people leadership and delivery experience of minimum 5 years, managing multi‑disciplinary engineering teams and team leaders.
  • Strong project management track record delivering multiple concurrent projects to time, cost and quality.
  • Excellent spoken and written English; able to communicate clearly with global stakeholders and customers.
  • Clear and effective communication skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Takes initiative and works under own direction, demonstrating self‑reliance and confidence.
  • A collaborative team player who shares knowledge and mentors others, while demonstrating strong personal initiative.
  • Solid understanding of Engineering best practices.
  • Exposure and understanding of project management processes and skills
  • Experience of budgetary control, target setting, business plans
  • Works effectively with people across a wide range of disciplines and levels (internal and external).
  • Supports and encourages positive working behaviours and engagement during task fulfilment.
  • Knowledge of Rotork products and systems would be an advantage
