Security Guard - Beach Patrol - Port Dover

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Patrol Port Dover Beach ensuring compliance beach rules and regulations
• Maintain assigned patrol beat as per schedule, or as requested by the client
• interactions with beach goers to provide education on safety inside and outside of the water 
• Reporting to OPP of suspected illegal activity 
• Maintain a high level of standards with regards to personal appearance, hygiene, and deportment
• Provide assistance to residents, visitors, employees, clients, etc
• Complete daily logs and written reports as necessary
• Perform other duties as requested by client, supervisor, or regional manager

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma
• *MUST* Ontario Security Guard License
• *MUST* Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
• Ability to work outside in changing weather conditions
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
• Ability to speak/read/communicate in English (fluently), ability to speak French is consider an asset
• Excellent customer service and reception skills
• The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential

• Job type: Full-time (Seasonal) - June start
• Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.50 per hour
• Location: Port Dover Beach
