Job Summary: Join the Hoffman Institute Foundation at our tranquil retreat site in San Rafael as
a Kitchen Steward. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for a range of kitchen duties
including dishwashing, food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and managing inventory. Your
efforts will ensure a well-organized and efficiently running kitchen that supports our mission of
providing transformative retreat experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Dishwashing: Efficiently clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring they are
sanitized and ready for use.
- Food Preparation: Assist with preparing ingredients, including chopping fruits and
vegetables, mixing ingredients, and portioning food.
- Organization: Maintain an orderly kitchen by organizing supplies, cleaning surfaces,
and ensuring proper storage of food items.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, assist with ordering
supplies, and ensure proper rotation of stock.
- Sanitation: Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure kitchen cleanliness and
sanitation, including handling waste and managing compost and recyclables.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment and assist
with minor repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Support Service: Assist in setting up for events or meals, and provide support during
meal service to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
