Job Description

An opportunity has been created for an experienced and high-profile Technical Sales Executive to take responsibility for the Group’s developing, business interest in the West African market and to grow the operations regionally to achieve recognition as the market leader in power rental supply in the territory. Based in Lagos and reporting to the General Manager: Business development in Dubai, the successful candidate must demonstrate a proven track record in all aspects of sales development using recognized conceptual and practical methods and systems to identify market opportunities, open dialogue, initiate negotiation of Contracts at the highest level and assist in the closing of multimillion dollar deals. The incumbent will be an assertive self-starter who has the ability to open doors and ultimately, as the business grows to assume the mantle of Sales Manager assembling a highly competitive team of sales and operational professionals to extend the Group’s area of influence

Qualifications

The ideal individual, preferably holding, a technical degree in the electrical or mechanical fields, will be able to offer l 0 years’ postgraduate sales management experience gained from formal sales training and the additional application of a recognized strategic sales development program geared to developing action plans and selling solutions. Previous experience of sales within the power, energy or mining actions is an essential prerequisite  for this role and the ability to converse in the French  language, whilst not essential would be highly advantageous.

At interview we will be looking for excellent communication skills and that candidates possess both clarity of thought and subject knowledge to ensure that the chosen individual has the necessary understanding and grasp of the Group's engineered solutions and services which will make a difference when translated to live sales situations and the translation into orders. The appointment will necessitate substantial travel throughout the region and as such the successful applicant will need to be highly mobile and unencumbered
