Job Description

We’re looking for Apprentice Carpenters who want to learn, work hard, and build real skills on a construction site. You’ll help build and repair structures, work with tools, and support the team to keep the job moving safely and on time.

(Hourly) Apprentice I $26.15-$31.38  Apprentice II $31.38-$36.61 Apprentice III $36.61-$41.84

This role follows the provincial apprenticeship program. As you grow in the trade, your tasks will grow too.

  • Follow all safety rules and complete hazard checks before starting work
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely
  • Help lay foundations and read simple drawings
  • Mix and pour concrete
  • Build and take apart forms, frames, and other structures
  • Set up scaffolding and help build stairs and other items
  • Build and repair woodwork like floors, shelves, tables, and frames
  • Help with renovations and basic building maintenance
  • Keep track of daily tasks and help plan simple maintenance work
  • Work with the Superintendent and support other trades when needed
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • You are registered as a Carpenter Apprentice
  • You have 2+ years of carpentry experience
  • You are currently working in the trade
  • You are motivated, hardworking, and able to work longer hours or Saturdays when needed
  • You know basic carpentry and building maintenance
  • You can use hand and power tools safely
  • You understand workplace safety and safe lifting/handling
  • You can do basic math for material and labour estimates
  • You have CSTS training (or are willing to complete it — we can help)
