Job Description

Data Center Technician Responsibilities
ā€¢ Ensure proper standards are maintained for cabling, racking, power supplies, and ventilation.
ā€¢ Manage and track data center layout and hardware assets using Visio or Excel.
ā€¢ Implement and ensure proper rack management.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a DataCenter

Familiar with HP and CISCO platforms

Solid undertsting of datacenter hardware standards

Ā 

Important Extras:

ā€¢ Must have a vehicle to drive to and from the (Washington DC area) data centers (Silver Spring / Reston). Including the occasional transport of servers, sized 1 rack unit up to 4 rack units. Will be reimbursed for travel.
ā€¢ Must be open to working OCCASIONALLY working very early (7am or earlier) or very late (7pm or later)
