Job Title Referral Specialist/Insurance Verification

City, State: San Antonio, TX

Intro: 

Are you an experienced Referral Specialist looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Do you want the chance to advance your career by joining a rapidly growing company? If you answered “yes" to any of these questions – this is the position for you!

Position Summary:

To assist in monitoring utilization of medical services to assure cost effective use of medical resources through processing prior authorizations.

 Hours for this Position:

M-F 8:00-5:00 (Monday may work till 7pm) overtime available

More Insight of Daily Responsibilities:  

• Initiate authorization requests for outpatient and inpatient services in accordance with the prior authorization list. Route to appropriate staff when needed.

• Verify eligibility and benefits

• Answer phone queues and process faxes within established standards

• Data enters authorizations into the system.
