Job Description

Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking for a new opportunity with a prestigious healthcare company? Do you want the chance to advance your career by joining a rapidly growing company? If you answered “yes" to any of these questions – this is the position for you!

Daily Responsibilities:  

• Track and triage all coverage determination requests for prior authorizations and Medicare Part D recipients

• Track and triage coverage determination requests submitted from providers and determine if a pharmacist review is required

• Obtain verbal authorizations and request detailed clinical information from prescribers

• Approve coverage determination requests based on defined criteria 

• Enter and document coverage determination request decision into the PBM system and notify providers and/or members

• Respond to client inquiries regarding authorization approvals and PBM on-line applications

Hours for this Position:

• Monday-Friday; 8AM-9PM- (can talk about shift preferences in interview); have to be available to work one Saturday shift in a month

• Pay rate: $13-$14.50 per hour

Qualifications

• Certified Pharm tech (CPhT)

• Nationally Certified Pharm Tech ( PTCB)

• STRONG work ethic- really important to hiring manager!!

• 2+ year retail, hospital, or mail order experience

• Good communication

• Positive attitude/ fast learner/ good attendance 

• PBM or prior auth experience preferred BUT not required
