Job Description

Accurate & timely response & follow up for verbal prescription orders.

• Transfer or refer calls as appropriate to pharmacist(s).

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, as appropriate.

• Provide patients with accurate, timely, and satisfactory solutions to potential & arising complaints & concerns about their prescriptions.

• Handle client/patient questions, complaints, requests or inquiries with the highest degree of courtesy & professionalism, with the goal of one-call resolution & patient retention.

• Conduct inbound and/or outbound calls to patients, doctors’ offices, insurance companies as necessary or required to complete tasks.

• Ensure that patient orders are shipped, via communication with outsourced pharmacies for medications, as well as US MED Shipping Department for other supplies/equipment as necessary.

• Ensure all required pharmacy documentation & data entry is completed timely, and in accordance with regulatory agency guidelines.

• Ensure accurate changes / data entry of patient records in information systems, including service issues. Update patient files for known changes to patient records.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Eng/Sp
  
• Pharmacy Technician Certification/Registration required.
• Related pharmaceutical/medical experience &/or training.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to the pharmaceutical/medical environment.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Additional Information

Hours for this Position:

Mon-Fri 9am-5pm, plus Sat 10am-2pm (as needed but must be open to Sat shift)
