Full-Stack AI Intern
About this role
Full-Stack AI Intern
About the Internship
Join a fast-paced team operating at the intersection of finance and technology, building real products that enhance investment workflows and decision-making.
You’ll work on projects spanning development, and artificial intelligence - shipping production-ready features, prototyping AI-powered tools, and independently crafting polished interfaces in Figma.
This role is ideal for a creative technologist who enjoys moving from concept to design to code with equal confidence.
What You’ll Do
- Build end-to-end features: Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack product increments (front end, back end, and data) that improve internal tools and client-facing experiences.
- Design with intent: Own UI/UX from brief to delivery - including wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma, along with lightweight design systems and component libraries.
- Apply AI pragmatically: Experiment with and integrate AI/ML models (including LLMs) to solve meaningful problems - from rapid prototyping to production-ready solutions.
- Validate with data: Analyse datasets, perform model and feature validation, and use insights to refine both product and design decisions.
- Collaborate widely: Work closely with the AI Analyst, Head of Technology, and wider teams to define requirements, shape solutions, and deliver impactful outcomes.
- Ship reliably: Contribute to code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment workflows; monitor feature performance and iterate quickly based on feedback.
- Keep learning: Stay up to date with the latest in AI/ML, modern web frameworks, and UX best practices — and share your learnings with the team.
What You’ll Bring
- Full-stack fluency: Experience building web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript with a modern front-end framework (e.g. React or Next.js) and a back-end/runtime (e.g. Node.js or Python).
- Proven Figma experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience using Figma to design complete user interfaces - including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups. You should be comfortable working independently in Figma, defining reusable components, and maintaining visual consistency.
- AI foundations and curiosity: Practical exposure to Python for data or machine learning, familiarity with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and a genuine enthusiasm for applying AI to real-world problems.
- Data and quality mindset: Confidence working with APIs, JSON, and databases (SQL or NoSQL); ability to write clean, testable code and make decisions grounded in data.
- Communication and ownership: Strong written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the initiative to take ownership of design and engineering tasks from start to finish.
- Eligibility (UAE): Applicants must hold a valid UAE Dependents Visa or Golden Visa.
- Portfolio links: Please include GitHub or project links, and examples of your Figma work (case studies, prototypes, or live designs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Figma skills: Experience building design systems, maintaining component libraries, using auto layout, and conducting usability testing or user feedback sessions within Figma.
- Experience with Next.js, React Query (TanStack), Tailwind CSS, or component-driven development (Storybook).
- Back-end experience with Node.js/Express or Python/FastAPI, and understanding of REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Familiarity with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, or AI model deployment.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containers, or serverless architectures.
- Interest in finance or investment technology.
- Experience designing and testing end-to-end digital experiences (including accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-platform consistency).
Why This Role
- Real impact: Work on products and AI prototypes that directly influence investment processes.
- End-to-end ownership: See your designs come to life through your own code - from concept to deployed feature.
- Mentorship and exposure: Collaborate with experienced engineers, designers, and analysts across multiple disciplines.
- Portfolio-ready outcomes: Build a tangible record of full-stack and design work that demonstrates real-world results.
- Learning and innovation: Gain experience with AI integration patterns, design reviews, and product strategy in a collaborative, growth-oriented team.
