Job Description

ā€¢ Design system architecture
ā€¢ Build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for scalable backend
methods from idea to going live
ā€¢ Scaling platform from video & chat, API, a web application to the database
ā€¢ Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with the server-
side logic
ā€¢ Integration of data storage solutions
ā€¢ Identification of bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
ā€¢ Lead in a continuous improvement of the development process (e.g. coding standards, unit testing, code reviews, documentation)
ā€¢ Sounding-board for the definition of product development landscape

Qualifications

ā€¢ First-class understanding of NodeJs ecosystem (>3 years)
ā€¢ First-class understanding of the syntax of TypeScript/JavaScript(ES6) and its
framework(s)
ā€¢ First-class understanding of scalable system architecture and web sockets
ā€¢ First-class understanding of cloud hosting (MS Azure, AWS)
ā€¢ Excellent understanding of SQL databases and NoSQL (i.e. MongoDB, Elastic
Search, PostgreSQL) as well as Redis (>5 years)
ā€¢ Excellent understanding of Nginx Web Server, code versioning tools (e.g. GitHub)
ā€¢ Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and
CSS3
ā€¢ Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, AJAX
and JSON
ā€¢ Good understanding of video streaming technologies (WebRTC) [Big Plus]
ā€¢ Experience with ReactJs/Redux ( >2 years)
ā€¢ Good understanding of object-oriented programming
ā€¢ Good understanding of server-side templating languages
ā€¢ Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors
ā€¢ BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
ā€¢ Active and considerate team player
ā€¢ Professional ā€“ Accepts responsibility for all actions and follows through on
commitments
ā€¢ Self-Starter and resourceful Problem-Solver
